Optimal File Formats for Your Printing Needs
We aim to make your printing process as smooth as possible. Here’s a guide to help you prepare your files
Ideal for print. Ensure your PDF is high-resolution (300dpi). Add .125” bleed on all sides if your design extends to the edges. More details on preparing PDFs are available on our Files Specifications page.
TIFF and JPG
Both should be 300dpi. Remember to add .125” bleed on all sides to accommodate for bleed. Note: Preparing TIFF and JPG files for print may involve a nominal charge.
EPS
Include .125” bleed on all sides if your design requires it. Like TIFF and JPG, preparing EPS files for print may involve a small fee.
Adobe InDesign (INDD)
Export your projects to high-resolution PDFs. Ensure "Do Not Downsample" is selected under the "Compression" tab and use document bleed settings if needed. If we require your complete InDesign project, please package it and send it through our 'Send a File' page.
Adobe Illustrator (AI)
Convert files to PDF without down-sampling. Make sure to set up your document with .125” bleed if necessary and enable trim marks in the "Marks and Bleeds" settings.
Microsoft Word (DOCX) and Publisher (PUB)
Convert your documents to PDF and check the PDF for accuracy before sending. This ensures your file meets print standards.
